India is celebrating Republic Day on January 26 since 1950 because on 26 of January 1950 the Constitution of India came into force by replacing the Government of Indian Act which was in existence during the period of (1935-1950). It is considered to be one among the three national holidays in India to honor the memory of declaration of the Independence of 1930. On January 26 in the national capital New Delhi the main parade takes place at the Rajpath before the president Pratibha Patil to celebrate the honor of the memory of declaration of the Independence of 1930 .
