The world wide web (WWW) consists of millions of documents . These documents have been and are still being written by different people, on different computers in different parts of the world!. Further,the original writers of the document had very little Idea about who would try to view them and on what platform. They had no guarantee that their documents would be displayed correctly by other browsers,on other computers. This created the need for the standard writing procedure. And HTML was designed fulfill this need.
Ideally,any document created using HTML , on any platform , should be displayed correctly without any inconsistencies , by any browser , on any computer , any where in the world.
