If you are using wordpress then you can easily install a plugin which will help in reducing spam comments in the blog. After installing the plugin, it will add captcha to the login forms, this will help in reducing spam comments in your blog.
Adds CAPTCHA anti-spam methods to WordPress forms for comments, registration, lost password, login, or all. In order to post comments or register, users will have to type in the code shown on the image. This prevents spam from automated bots. Adds security. Works great with Akismet. Also is fully WP, WPMU, and BuddyPress compatible.
2. Login to your Wordpress Dashboard. Go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload. After Uploading, Activate the Plugin.
3. Navigate to SI Captcha settings. See the screenshot below.
You can check the box accordingly. It is recommended that you should add the captcha to the login page, registeration page and comments section. You can also change the size of the captcha image.
